Because my car died on me just before I started my Christmas shopping, leaving me with no money for much of anything while I save up for a new car down payment. At least this way somebody would get a gift from me this year.

And uh per the rules - they would use the headphones to ignore me as I futilely try to call them to come pick me up!

While I got my ex-girlfriend hooked into more hardcore games with Halo 1 (don't ask me how, she had only played SPYRO before that!), ANY game is better than none.

My brother's girlfriend used to jokingly refer to video games as "the devil" because my brother would spend so much time playing them, but once she played Wii Sports and then later Carnival Games, she's opened up to playing more games with him in general.

She's a Guitar Hero addict now.

It's all about the baby steps for the non-gamers.

Aw, and I was just so very slightly looking forward to this.

Guess I'll just have to stick to actually playing the game at parties.

I have a feeling Peter Moore was behind this, or at least approved it's making.

That guy is the best thing to happen to EA Sports in a long time. This seems right up his alley. He knows when a cigar is just a cigar and can admit mistakes in a respectable way.

Man. Where do you guys live in the US that theaters let you play games? I'm moving there.

This reminds me of the ilovebees end-game event, just before the launch of Halo 2, where they had 4 theaters located across the US that were all connected on Xbox Live playing against each other 4 on 4 on 4 on 4... That was such an awesome idea.

I wanted to be there so bad...

I'd love to see Parcheesi. I haven't played that game in forever. It's competitive enough for a Live Arcade game, and it has 4 players. *shrugs*

But give me Candyland on Live and I'll have no other choice but to buy it.

They're playable, but only in the multiplayer skirmish mode. You can't do the campaign/co-op as the Covies. =(
