I still guess the only chance for someone like me who mainly plays solo to see the inside of a raid dungeon is going to be when they add the option to enter a dungeon as a spectator and see other people doing all the fighting. Or, when expansion number 20 is out and I can easily solo "classic" dungeons with my level 120 druid.
So basically what you are saying is that you are willing to endure hours and hours of not having fun only so that you can see some kind of reward in the end. So is gaming like a job to you?
To me, people who like achievements are the same people who's first thing to do after buying a game is to go online and type into google "game_name + cheats". They are not really enjoying playing the game but they have a real sense of satisfaction of being able to say "oblivion, ah yea, I finished that one" or see the a large number next to their "E-penis", sorry I meant "gamer score".
I am proof of concept that new players are still joining WoW. I started playing about 3 weeks ago and what I enjoy most up until know is without a doubt exploring and enjoying the beautiful landscapes. I am sure most of you have already lost this feeling but for me this is a new exciting world that I just want to know more about. Right now it’s more about the experience than getting the cool items.
I've been doing a lot of reading about the game and since I'm fairly casual I was disappointed to find out that I will probably never be able to enjoy most of raids. Either because they are obsolete in terms of rewards and thus it's almost impossible to find a group willing to do them, or they are just impossible without a major time commitment which sadly I don't have.
It’s probably too early to say but I’d guess that my dream will be to experience all content in the game at least once. When playing single player RPG’s my goal was never to get the best items but to finish the story. Maybe my POV is not right for an MMO but that is just me.

In other words, never going to happen.
