Johnny Lee: Natal will spawn new genres

Jul 7th 2009 12:37PM (Joystiq)
For the love of god, why is there so much stupid in the air when talking about Natal?

Seriously, why even worry about the shovelware when Natal will enable HEAD TRACKING in all your hardcore space marine shoot-em-ups. That alone makes Natal awesome. Bet they could even patch head tracking into Halo 3/CoD once Natal is out.

Iwata 'sorry' for Nintendo E3 briefing; Wii supplies may still be tight this holiday

Jul 23rd 2008 2:40PM (Joystiq)
I love when a system gets bashed for a lack of games, then it turns out the haters aren't even familiar with the lineup beyond the two or three top titles.

Apparently it's the Wii's turn in the bullseye :P

I got over a dozen (unreleased) titles on my must-buy list for the Wii. I'm watching out for even more titles on the PS3, sure, but "a dozen" is a far cry from "none, HATEHATEHATE"

Wii Fanboy Review: Baroque

Apr 23rd 2008 11:24PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
This was a very good review. This is the first review I read where I really got a sense the reviewer took the time to figure out Baroque well enough to review it knowledgeably. Kudos to you.

Turok demo finally comes to North American Xbox Live

Jan 29th 2008 11:08AM (Joystiq)
The Turok demo is garbage.

You get chucked into a cave with no light. I couldn't even tell where the floor was for several minutes. Eventually, while running around blindly, you spot a few pixels of light and move towards them. Wash, rinse, repeat. After 20 minutes of this I quit and deleted the demo.

I hope whoever chose the demo level gets his ass fired.

Cheap, open-source, emulation? Yes please.

Now to see if it actually delivers. I'm not holding my breath yet.

Sierra's Prototype is first game with Neural-THX 7.1 surround sound

Jan 7th 2008 8:18PM (Joystiq)
Sounds sexy, but I'm sticking with stereo. I'd rather spend my money on audiophile stereo than passable 7.1

....at least until I win the lottery and become able to afford audiophile 7.1

Konami taking arcade shooter Target: Terror home to Wii

I MUST OWN THIS.

Best of the Rest: James' Picks of 2007

SOTN is a fantastic game, but it has one lone flaw that keeps it from being the greatest game of all time - a severe lack of balance. Depending on how you happen to go through the game, you can find it either impossibly hard or ridiculously easy... or both. And once you find the shield rod + Alucard shield.... then it's practically "Baby's First Sidescroller"

Penny Arcade doles out criticism of Assassin's Creed criticism

Gabe has more cred than any ten of you douchebags bitching about him. Accept it and move on.
