I use games as a way of escaping the crazy people of the world. Now they're going to be pestering me in games? Crap.
On the bright side, I don't play Farmville and have banished it from my Facebook page.
Now, on the other hand, I'd love to see some political campaigners in the next GTA game...

That's like saying Wal-Mart won't carry a game because there's a Target billboard in the game's virtual world. This is just stupid. GameStop will regret this one way or another.

Alas, using Google Maps still crashes on the first attempt after turning the GPS on. Irritating. I was hoping that was going to get fixed.

The only restarts I had were involving the GPS nav services. Haven't been brave enough to retry it again after the update.

Mine has been free of the separation issue and I have full responsiveness on the screen even when not grounded. Kind of weird there is this much variability on the builds. I wonder if there are other environmental circumstances not being accounted for.

Klepto is right though. I don't trust IGN for reviews or previews any more. They positively gush about games they get exclusive previews for. When review time comes around they slice and dice the game for all its failings. If they'd commented on a few of those flaws in the previews instead of glowing praise prior to the review gutting, maybe the developers would have made some changes.

@(Unverified) The point bebop was making is that it takes a PHD to do that. Your average user just wants to click twice (better yet, default install) and have a cool looking UI. Sadly, the general consumer just doesn't want to have to figure anything out on their own.

At least the opinions are balancing the overly optimistic IGN ones. I guess you can't get a balanced truthful opinion on a game and still get early access to it. I really hope this one doesn't suck.

These stupid pre-announcement hype announcements are really grating on my nerves. Platinum is right. These things usually end up being a total let down.

For the 3 people that use it to surf the internet it might be a potential risk, but still very unlikely. If it really is a problem, Sony will patch it in their next update so the homebrew crowd can't exploit it for useful purposes.
