Mar 3rd 2008 5:04AM (Joystiq)With the console there is no degree of freedom for players. Forced to wait for ages for the next patch to go through the proper channels and then having to pay for extra content such as maps.
It's also odd that people would even suggest that the differences between the console and PC gaming is becoming blurry. What we're seeing instead is traditionally PC developers having to make major concessions to develop their games. Having the develop games that have shorter learning curves and having to make major cuts for control. By blurry, you must mean the sense of alienation when PC gamers are force to play their favorite former PC franchises with mediocre controls that were clearly designed with the console in mind.
