just make it with a drive like the wii's and give it a 2 lb copper and heatpipe slab that covers 75% of the motherboard and use lead solder on the graphics chip. maybe that's why they used to use lead in solder in the first place SO IT WOULDN'T FRACTURE!!! I mean there's about 15 pounds of lead in every car battery so the 3 grams it would take to fix any possible bga problems won't kill us THAT much sooner.


then again, there's probably some kind of tax break for RHOS and that's why they won't use lead solder.

the only thing that will kill this type of drm is if the PS3 and xbox360 get cracked wide open with an easy software only hack or a working emulator for either system gets made.

then all the pc pirates would all (and I mean ALL) start using those instead.

I really think Ubisoft is ACTIVELY trying to alienate pc users to push them to a console...

it's only a matter of time before some group starts ddos'ing these servers if that isn't what this is already.

sorry no Ubisoft for me even if it were on steam.

this is like having books that self destruct as soon as the publisher turns that server off.

can you telnet into this bbs or do you need a physical modem to get to it.. because if it's the latter how the heck did anyone find it (I'm guessing they used the old modem in a junk drawer that just happened to work method)

I hope they put in some autopause options like were in Baldurs Gate. Especally pause when party member is hit/health is under 25% and pause when target is gone. (or better yet ;put it in the nifty tactics menu)

I upgraded in a similar way too except I just copied all the files to the hard drive, changed all the registry keys to say 'Professional' instead of ultimate, did the minclient bit and just ran the install directly from the hard drive. a bit quicker than waiting on USB
