@wahahabuh

Interesting, make people play their own gender.
It'll certainly stop the people making this game roll a female, cyber with another "female" and after the deed is done, find out it was a man >_>'

The Daily Grind: What game would you play were it not for the community?

Yup, lots of cool kids thinking its hip to troll and act like they're wtfpwnage... alas it is probably stuck in an endless cycle now so we'll never see the "good old days" where you could just PK that person / ignore them till they quit, as the whole server is now full of them :D ....

For me, i'd say LOL is the worst (though not an mmo), if you go to play solo, you've a 90% chance someone will 1)rage and leave, 2) die a lot then leave. 3) afk.... =D

2nd to that the AoC EU PvP server had a horrendous community too (it was the only PvP server at the time I believe) and it was full of flaming/ swearing/ dicks.... so I moved to a PVE one where I could experience all content with less annoyances.

Nope, consoles run at 1280*720 low/med settings whilst PC owners will want to play at 1920 or even higher at high/ultra quality.. this requires more power/vram.

High textures requires more vram

More players per server means more shadows, more bullets, more explosions, ergo more power required :-)!

Mine should be arriving tomorrow along with a 550mb/s read speed ssd, mmmmm

...For melee yes, for casters no... Origins was superior overall in combat.

They can keep the combo'ing of abilities but go back to the first.... please dear god go back to the first.

@eat it

Well my point was not high res, it was more of the fun things... players, props, weapons, larger maps, etc.

I believe Bad Company 2 did not gain anymore weapons due to memory limitations.

Perhaps you have a point though, when new hardware comes devs will be "how can we make this look visually appealing to get new/more people" instead of how can we make duke carry more than 2 weapons.... =/

Thanks for the link, interesting read indeed.

However also quite fun to wonder if he too is from EA/BW PR and secretly trying to quell some of the peoples shouts :)

@Nirvash Planeteer Power of Capt

You might be fine, but I want the lowest spec'd system to be less than 7 or so years...

If only you could see the wonders of more power, more npcs, more players per server, more random pot plants to shoot and destroy..... more weapons, more everything =(....

From this, perhaps better ports would be easier, or atleast they'd come over higher quality (visually and hopefully technically as the dodgy optimization process is not required to be as hardcore).

@NathanDTS

Yes! If you ignored the first few levels, maybe up to the 3rd, afterwards it was very interesting and the end was =O

I've been trying to get my friends to finish it as it really is worth it.

Hope this one has 100% quality all the way through it this time and not starting off with crap (its like they did the levels backwards and ran out of time)
