Rat Race brings episodic comedy to PSN
Oct 17th 2007 1:47PM (Joystiq)You have not played the game either, so your arguement would seem just as irrelvent as mine.

Oct 17th 2007 12:03PM (Joystiq)What are you babbling about? Who's talking about a Wii and when did I even say I liked games on the Wii? Hypocrisy?!? Great comeback. Your "holier than thou" Sony is the poster child for great decisions of late. Sorry if I offended your heroes in questioning their decision making. But hey, if making coffee and talking around a fax machine is your idea of a good time, have fun.

Oct 17th 2007 11:55AM (Joystiq)Yep, that's what I said. Diversity is a bad thing?!? I suppose you would like to play games like Little Timmy Goes to Kindergarden or How to cook with Ronald McDonald. I was simply curious to see how a comedy at an office translates to a FUN experience in a video game. Hmmm, I'd rather play a game in an office setting than a platformer, rpg, racing, sports, or shooter title. Yeah. And don't be stupid. 360 has hundreds of titles. Nice overused shooter comment. Never heard that before. Next!!!

Oct 17th 2007 11:05AM (Joystiq)This sounds so lame, Does anyone in Sony's game division understand video games anymore? How does something that might fit a theme for a television show translate into a fun video game. That's like trying to translate contents of a video game into a movie script. (think super mario brothers, double dragon, doom, resident evil, blood rayne, etc. etc.) What works for one medium doesn't mean it fits something interactive. I would be very interested to see how one pulls this off. But then you have games like leisure suit larry that do really well. (sarcasm)
Are poor box office sales Halo 3's fault?
Oct 16th 2007 4:48PM (Joystiq)You're missing the point. Obivously character development and story are more easily fleshed out over time on a successful series. But I'm not going to go as far to say that big corporate Hollywood isn't spoon feeding us trash to make a buck. Transformers the movie could have easily been a better movie under a more capable director. Why Steven Spielberg didn't direct this one is a mystery to me. Certain directors and people in the industry are more in tuned with the audience and what they respond to than others. And you can achieve a real connection to story content and characters if handled properly. Why do you think Star Wars (the original) is so popular. Lord of the Rings is another one. But 70% of the movies out these days are trash or overdone. How many animated flicks do we need a year. And now that one 80's cartoon did well at the box office (Transformers)... now we get GI Joe and ThunderCats?!?! The same can be said about superhero movies. Based on one successful movie, we are being spoon feed more of the same. How bout some quality writing and characters???
Game Informer gives Mass Effect a 9.75
Oct 16th 2007 1:19PM (Joystiq)Calm down dude... stop crying. You're right. I was wrong to include the PS3. That crap system has got enough problems... ha ha. zing!!!!
Game Informer gives Mass Effect a 9.75
Oct 16th 2007 12:25PM (Joystiq)I was just pointing out an arguement that seems to pop up quite often with AAA releases like Halo 3 and Mass Effect. Did you see the side by side shots of HAZE vs HALO 3 with little regards to if the game is even in the same league of fun as Halo 3. Bunch of graphic whores who continue to rag on the 360 DVD format when this machine has offered nothing but a wide range gaming experiences. Ummm, and before you presume the income of someone whom you've never even met... maybe you better look in the mirror and question HOW MUCH OF A LIFE YOU DON'T HAVE to own and maintain 3 consoles. I'm a moderate gamer. I hardly think telling someone you don't have a life and call them a non-gamer is anything to brag about bi'ach!!!!!!!
