I worked for Sega Ozisoft when Mortal Kombat was released on the Mega Drive (Genesis) and SNES in Australia. Because we distributed for Acclaim, we sold both versions of the game, and because the Mega Drive had the blood cheat in it, we sold bucketloads more (and more Mega Drives to boot).
