1 vs. 100 prizes unavailable in certain states and Quebec

Jun 18th 2009 9:58AM (Joystiq)
Meh, I'm sure Quebec and those mentionned states are use to it by now. It still sucks though. (from montreal, quebec)

Live in Montreal? Like games? Tour Ubisoft this weekend

Sep 27th 2008 1:10AM (Joystiq)
Actually if you want to come by and visit montreal to see Jade Raymond youd have a better chance going to the Mcgill university career fair where she gave us an hour lecture last year. And shes just as pretty in person as in the photos.

Ill be sure to visit ubisoft tomorrow since i walk by it often enough.

DS Daily: Reliability

Sep 16th 2007 2:21PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I've been a Nintendo fan ever since SNES. (I'd have been one earlier if I had been born earlier...)
I purhased my DS lite 2 years ago and have so far changed it 2 times. The first time was due to the ds speakers which had just stopped working, and the second time was due to my left shoulder button which stopped working. I've been lucky all three times to have purchased the 3 year warranty (although I know nintendo provides a very good 1 year warranty). I have not purchased a new warranty on the newest DS in hopes that if this one breaks I can just go out and purchase a sweet new black and red one.

DS Daily: Headphones?

Feb 6th 2007 11:52AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm usually using my seinheizer mx500 earphones with my ds because I'm either in the metro or in a quiet study environment when I do play. Recently though they broke down and I'm now using these intec retractable ones. I must say the seinheizer ones gave great quality but i just love the retractableness of the inetc ones i bought.

DS Daily: How much do graphics matter?

Jan 24th 2007 11:41AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I believe that when considering graphics we also have to consider what kind of system its on. When gamers give up an arm and a leg for a PS3 they're expecting to get the whole deal. The graphics and the great game. On a system like the DS, people don't go looking for a great graphics engine, its the connectivity, the portability, replayability, and most importantly whether the game is actually fun thats going to sell. Pokemon doesn't need amazing graphics, it just needs to play well.
However I do believe that in the end graphics do matter, I think that its basically the same question as do you think looks matter in the opposite sex. I mean sure you don't need a supermodel even if ud like one, but you don't want to see them as butt ugly. (no offense)

DS Daily: From PC to DS

Jan 22nd 2007 11:13AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I believe that portability and if they can hopefully implement some wifi options will justify buying these free pc games for the ds. I'm also putting in some faith into the ports hoping that the producers will add some enticing features to lure people into spending money on the originals.

Miss Video Game competition [update 1]

Nov 2nd 2006 10:36PM (Joystiq)
Looks like the finals are being held where i live. If joystiq is kind enough to remind me again when the date draws nearer I'll prob be able to get some photos. And I'll also try my best not to portray them as objects, just the girl gamers they are.

It's our 2nd birthday and we're giving you the presents!
