I don't know, that was pretty far gone. I had real difficulty reading that and what I did make out was mostly this guy ranting about how he didn't like math.
A reviewer has to be above that sort of idiosyncratic criticism - I don't like sports games, but that doesn't mean that they all deserve low scores. 1UP did the right thing here, I think.
The slippery slope that I see here is not moving towards mandatory payment for unlockables (that would be too obvious), but rather a gradual increase in the difficulty and amount of time that it takes to unlock them the old fashioned way.
My initial reaction was that this was not such a bad move on EA's part (for once) but, after thinking about it, it seems wiser to oppose this sort of monetization unilaterally. Once we start down that road it's going to be hard to turn around.
"... it was genious, at least for this subject, i'm surprised 1up didn't mention this game. does anyone else remember this?" ---------------------------------
Of course. Although I think "infamous" might be a better word for it than "genius". If you bought this game used, or were less than careful with the manuals/packaging that game with your games, this was killer. Remember that this came before the internet - you couldn't just hop on line and find out what the right frequency was. (747 Mhz)
Came with two manuals - one just for spells and one for gameplay. The gameplay manual was funny, thorough, and readable. I used to read it before bed and flip through the twenty or so pages of tables in the back. It had these little pencil sketches throughout that were really well done... ::sigh::
If you wanted a gun based game for dreamcast, there weren't a whole lot of choices.
Funny thing with this game (and only good part) was that during the cinimatic bits when you weren't supposed to shoot there'd be some flashing text in the bottom corner of the screen saying, "Hold your crimson!"
Like the other people have been saying, you lose hardly any weight from exercise. You change your diet to lose weight and you exercise to keep from losing muscle mass - when the body is burning fat, it is burning fat and protein (muscle) indiscriminately. That's what makes exercise so important while you are on a diet.
