Best of 2008: 10 best Wii games

Dec 29th 2008 2:49PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Wow, I actually own (or owned) 8 of the 11 listed there. Not sure why Wario Shake It made the list though. Top 10? I might throw Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World in there and possibly Chocobo's Dungeon but that may have been a 2007 title.

No More Heroes is amazingly overrated by this site, but overall this is a good list.

Boom Blox under the tree? Use these cheats to unlock everything

Dec 24th 2008 2:20PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I gave this game to my son on Monday as an early Christmas present (we needed something to do while we were at home, too) and we've played it pretty much non-stop since. What an awesome game. Definitely one of the top two or three games on the Wii so far.

Miyamoto still hopeful Wii Music will catch on

Dec 1st 2008 2:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I also wasn't very excited about this game when I heard about it but I'm anxious to give it a try. Luckily, my son will be getting it for Xmas from his G-parents so I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to try it out. If nothing else, it sounds like a GREAT tool for a young child to learn about music.

Wii Warm Up: Day of buyer's remorse

Wasn't expecting to purchase Okami but 14.95 was too good to pass up.

Ordered Okami for $14.95. Couldn't pass that one up.

Wii Warm Up: Day of deals

Nov 28th 2008 11:48AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I was really hoping to get that 39.99 deal but it apparently was gone by 7 am central. 69.99 is a bit much. Oh well.

Metareview - Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Nov 17th 2008 12:46PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm new to the series, just picked it up yesterday. I think the reviews are, for the most part, spot on but that doesn't mean it's not a fun game. It's pretty much what I expected. The story is very average (and corny) so far and Emil, the main character, is a total D-Bag but once you get past that, it's fun.

Wii Warm Up: Surfing

Oct 28th 2008 8:28AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I use it for the occasional game of Duck Hunt and that's about it.

Wii Warm Up: An excuse to talk about Mega Man 9 again

Oct 20th 2008 10:42AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I managed to defeat Galaxy Man and Splash Woman (in that order) and have now been stuck on Plug Man for a while. I haven't really played it much lately though. I just picked up FFCC: Chocobo's Dungeon and have been hooked on it lately.

Miyamoto wants 'big, new ideas' in next Zelda

Oct 10th 2008 10:21AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I agree ... If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd like to see a TP sequel and THEN they can innovate all they want.
