What?! Who could they possibly be aiming for? Isn't everyone and their dog already playing WoW?

Sounds to me as if the Midway ship is sinking. Not really much of a suprise. Blacksite wasn't the politcally loaded FPS that it was made out to be.

Do they even have any real internet in FPS's these days? The last few have been a bit stale. Granted, they were fun for what they are, but I can only take so many game worlds that seem to have a layer of Vaseline over them.

That. Is. Awesome.

It always baffles me why a new/small development team would take on the mammoth task of pushing an MMO out into such a oversaturated market. The upkeep of an MMO alone is difficult, but then competing with giants like WoW and Star Wars Galaxies (wait, Star Wars what? I kid, I kid) is just daft.

Sad to see to them go, but like bysmitty said, can't say I'm suprised.

As for what it's saying, does it really matter? PC games have habit of being over complex to the point were it becomes more of a chore to play through them. I never got the impression when playing Bioshock that it had been 'dumbed down', or some important gameplay mechanic was missing. If anything, having anything more to do in the game would of probably lessoned the experience and enjoyment because it's just one more thing to worry about and take you out of the game world.

Looking at the NPD numbers for the PC always makes me feel, I don't want to say embarrassed, but awkward. They never give a true representation of what the large population of PC gamers are playing. This is obviously all down to NPD not taking into consideration the one place the majority of PC gamers purchase their games from: online.

Didn't NPD say they were going to start including online sales in their monthly numbers?

This doesn't suprise me in the slightest. Just got done playing through Blacksite, and technical faults aside, the game was lackluster is every possible way.

Hmm. I'd have to say the scene where King Leonidas screams "Give them nothing, but take from then everything".

Funny. That qoute fits this situation rather well. I'll be taking that 360, and I'll be giving you nothing. :)
