What I don't get is how that locust survived that point blank shotgun shot.

I'm a huge Halo fan. I Played all the games, most of the books, have dozens of action figures, etc. I must say I'm a bit upset that they decided to continue Master Chief's story. I loved the Halo 3 ending and how they made it open to interpretation as to whether he will ever return.

I definitely want more Halo games, but like other posters said the Halo story goes back thousands of years and the Halo trilogy only covers roughly 30 years. There are so many stories they could tell, they could get really creative. I think making Halo 4 is a bit of a cop out and really just disappointing.
