I love Plex, don't get me wrong. I have it installed on my AppleTV, and it rocks.

However, using it on the Blackbook that I have, fan speeds go CRAZY during the menus. To the point of being unusable.

Is there a tutorial out there for the Things integration?

Can't say much about Butler or Launchbar, but I absolutely love Alfred. Utilizing Spotlight as a launcher was one of my favorite things about switching to Mac a couple of years back, and Alfred takes that concept to the next level. I especially like the ability to customize searches (I'm a picky Google searcher), and longer form math equations right in the box.

Great app ... Even better support. Their twitter account has always been immediately responsive to any questions I've had, especially in setting up some of the more advanced custom searches.

Good productivity apps are well worth the money. $15 (independent of any yearly costs) is a great price compared to, say, Omniview's offerings.

TUAW doesn't have multilevel comments ... just comments and replies.

In my experience, zooming in and out is disabled on most "optimized" sites.

I'll stick with Alfred :)

But your logic doesn't work ... Sure, in five years, the iPad could be at the same level.

But do you really expect, five years from now, that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to be the standard?
