Aug 25th 2009 3:17PM (Joystiq)
I put it at the top of my Gamefly rental queue but didn't expect anything really...got an email yesterday that they shipped it because I just sent something else back in. Yay for Gamefly getting me some Batman while it is brand new!!! Can't wait for it to arrive in my mailbox.

I loved this game at first but then it really got old fast...the lack of a campaign did NOT help at all.

That is a great article, thanks for the link...man, Ricky Jay is the f-ing man. He has had so many great roles because of his pure raw talent. His stage magic is great but his ability to perform developed from that, plus the man is just a damn overall genius.

Just in case you didn't know who he was.

Sega: Giving up on hardcore Wii games would be 'arrogant'

Man, the Toys R Us where I grew up had a video of that playing on loop so if you were hanging out in the video game aisle browsing for something to buy or playing the demo of the latest hot game you had to hear it over and over and over again. It was one of the most annoying things ever to be used as an in-store promotion.

Still makes me want to stab someone in the face.

Welsh speakers wanted for game translation project

Aug 13th 2009 5:45AM (Joystiq)
First off, I'm not young. I'm 37 years old. I've been playing video games since the days of Pong and the 2600. Secondly, yes this is a non-story. I doubt anyone reading this site will have even known about this game. Thirdly, obscure outdated languages are great for literature and debates about authentic translation but this is absurd. Again, a game from a nobody publisher can't afford to make a game for an audience that wouldn't outweigh the financial costs. BFD

Welsh speakers wanted for game translation project

Aug 13th 2009 3:08AM (Joystiq)
According to the Wiki only about 16% of the people in Wales can actually speak, read, and write in Welsh. How many of those do you think are gamers? How many of them are such diehard gamers that they even know about this obscure game from a development team that most gamers have never even heard of? This is such a non-story that it boggles the mind as to why you even posted it in the first place.

Iwata: Vitality Sensor coming 'not too late' in 2010

Aug 11th 2009 1:19AM (Joystiq)
You are absolutely out of your fucking mind if you think Nintendo is
going to make a horror game with this. The fantastic and awesome
Eternal Darkness was the GC's shot a starting a Nintendo backed
horror game and it was an amazingly well made game. However Nintendo
got cold feet about anything involving the dark, monsters, and
anything NOT related to Mario. They didn't back the game's release
and it went overlooked by most people and quickly ended up in the
bargain bin. Look at the games they are making now....fucking Mii
mini-game shitfests and excercise software aimed at your mom. They
aren't taking any chances with anything remotely aimed at adults that
hasn't been dumbed down so grandparents have a chance to look like
they know what they are doing.

Forget about serious gaming genres like horror games because Nintendo
doesn't give a fuck about serious games anymore.
