Anybody have a TCO breakdown on the iPhone 4 versus the other phones? What with the coming data plan rate shakeups, it'd be nice to see a refreshed breakdown.

@BigJayDogg3 I didn't realize it wasn't an animated gif until I tried to scroll the page by tapping and dragging on my G1's screen, and PacMan moved instead! Google gets extra marks for making it Android-compatible, in my book.

FFS, Boeing, how many times does the Macross series have to go over this: the Ghost fighter is just going to go rogue and kill our best pilots. Whether in deep space, or here on Earth, if it's not taken over by a mad AI virtual idol it'll be coopted by some alien entity. Just say no to Ghost!

ACCESS should buy them, just to cement the end of Palm as a company *and* as a brand. Seriously, I'm sick of Palm at this point.

I recently rolled back the Android map to the stock version that came with 1.6 because I was getting AdWords pop-ups. Maybe I'm hurting myself but I didn't pay $200 and T-Mobile's monthly data rate so I can see Google's ads on my frickin' *phone*.

@egloskerry Depends on how close: you can cook your MRE on top of the exhaust grating in just a minute or so, but a meter or so away is the perfect place to dry your gear (and yourself) after, say, cleaning mud out of the inside road wheels in 40-degree weather.

To those who don't believe a turbine engine can be quiet, see if you can spot the difference between M60 (diesel) engine noise and an M1A1 (diesel turbine)'s engine noise, say on youtube:

When I was a tanker I was constantly surprised at how quiet the turbines were, especially at idle; the tank treads and hydraulic turret motors produced much more noise.
