A quality game, takes forever to play through, has immense replay value, no wretched DRM, support for PC... worth every penny you should be paying to play it!
No Technodrome level - to make the time warp plot somewhat feasible and extend the game's playtime, not to mention a fun freaking fight where you toss footclan dudes at the screen.
No Rat King - hey lets just port you out of no where in the middle of the sewer after fighting a bunch of Alien clones.
No Bebop and Rocksteady
No Slash - hardest boss in the original game
Crappy music compared to the original
Hell, lets make Krang get away rather than his ship get destroyed when you beat him the second time.
Lets make the king who jumps at the end of the game do it in front rather than back in the crowd.
I understand this is based off the Arcade... but the SNES version was completely superior. The nitpicks I mentioned at the end (ie Krang, Kid) are extreme, but the others are not.
Thus, the SNES version is utterly superior to this HD'ed mess of a game that was made without any logical consideration as to what would be the superior product. If I was head of game design I probably would have merged to the Arcade and SNES to make a superior product, ie... the boss at the end of the Prehistoric level in this (Arcade based) game would be a mid-level boss thus keeping Slash as the final boss.
AkaMagi is right. What kind of mentality is it to say "cry cry people have jobs, it's not fair for them." If you're in a company that's been driven into the ground do to bad leadership or corruption, to freaking bad. Go hunt for another job. Capitalism is built on failure. Why Ford and Crystler still exist is only because of the massive Unions they have and their connections to Washington. Giving them money was nothing more than you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Once you no longer allow failure, you start heading down towards Communism. This stupid mentality of things not being "fair" is the kind of tantrums little kids throw... to bad so many adults and political leaders have forgotten their age and what it means to work hard, traverse through hard times, and succeed.
We just want to SKIP the hard times now... news flash, it's going to get way way worse than this... try reading some of the BS our "leaders" in Washington just passed in their power grab... er "Stimulus." Get ready to wear a grey jumpsuit and make solar panels all day while you rely on the government to feed your family and give you housing... wow this sounds so familiar... too bad most of the people in this nation have no concept of world history.
All I can really add to all of this is God Help Us if George Lucas decides to "direct" or get too involved with a Star Wars video game. There aren't a lot of people who create a franchise that need to be kept away from it... but he's one of them.
I hope he proves everyone wrong with his Star Wars TV series, since he's witting the first Season on his own... well see.
Did you guys know he's started a Star Wars Opera too? Talk about milkage.
