"More interesting and challenging" doesn't mean that more people want to do it.

I never tanked before WotLK and even then I just did few normal instances. And what happened? In pugs everyone was telling me I suck. But how else am I supposed to learn tanking? Well... f*** that, I'll just be a dps warrior.

If a game is released on the PC then it's not a real Xbox exclusive. Sure, they will advertise it as such but this is also about selling consoles.
Lets say you have a good PC but you also want to buy a console. On Xbox you get games that you could also play on PC, but on PS3 you get games that you can't play anywhere else. Based on that you are more likely to buy PS3.
That is not what MS wants! They want you to buy an Xbox! So... they cancel some hyped PC releases and make them Xbox exclusives.
