If each campaign is as long as a full game (as I'm assuming they will be) I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to charge so much, only the guys in it for the story will buy more than the one anyway.
And a wake up call: If you think any company is in it for the "fans" you're terribly naive.
As far as I am aware spell damage coefficient is calculated from cast time (somebody please correct me if I am wrong). Base cast time on lightning bolt is 2.5 seconds whilst fireball is 3.5 seconds and Shadowbolt is 3 seconds. Spell damage is calculated before talents, so talent changes don't effect it whatsoever (after the mage tax removal)
Then Lightning Bolt has a slightly increased coefficient because of changes in patch 2.3 when Blizzard unintentionally nerfed elemental DPS and they changed it to solve the issue. I can safely say the coeficient is less than that of a 3 second cast spell.
If you are being beaten by shamans on the Dps meters I couldn't really come up with any suggestion as to how to improve, other than that the Shaman must either really outgear you?
I can only hope the new water shield still restores mana when it gets dispelled; it was nice having infinite mana if a lock was silly enough to fel-puppy me.

Oct 10th 2008 8:30PM (Joystiq)A: It's being released in three seperate sections
B:Online is unaffected by which version you buy
We don't know the length of the games, we don't know the release dates and most importantly we have no idea of price.
People shouldn't be so fast to jump to conclusions when they know next to nothing. Just wait for more details and hope they don't mess it up.
