Ratchet and Clank HD listed on Amazon France

Mar 2nd 2012 11:49AM (Joystiq)
+1 for goin commando. Definitely my favorite in the series. Since the amazon listing was pulled so quickly, hopefully that means that there's some truth to the listing, w a US release in the not too distant future. The only reason I can see that this hasn't even been officially announced yet is because they hate money. C'mon Sony!

@Naru now in 3D - Yeah, amazon is way overpriced on Portal 2. I'm thinking they raised the price to coincide w/ that B1G1 50% sale going on. Amazon is notorious for that. Once that sale is over, they'll drop it back down to $40 meethinks

MotoHeroz flips out on WiiWare September 15

Wow, wiiware? Really? Actually looks like a kinda fun take on the Trials formula. Too bad nintendo hardly ever makes demos available. It's very very rare that I'll buy a downloadable game w/o trying a demo first.

Bonus content detailed for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD

@bigwhiteyeti Yeah, I noticed that same thing after posting. Funny thing is from the same wiki it says:
"CPU: 64-bit[3][4] "Emotion Engine" clocked at 294.912 MHz (299 MHz on newer versions), 10.5 million transistors".

And again from the send wiki I posted:
"The MIPS-based core consists of two arithmetic logic units (ALUs) and a floating point unit (FPU). The integer units are 64-bit, but the FPU was single-precision, or 32-bit. The custom instruction set was implemented by grouping the two 64-bit integer units."

So anyway, considering my previous quote, technically, it looks like it's REALLY 32-bit, with neat little marketing shenanigans to claim it was 128-bit. Whatever.

@hkfooie Well, technically, according to this, it's not actually 128 bit.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotion_Engine

"Contrary to popular belief, the Emotion Engine is not a 128-bit processor as it does not process a single 128-bit value, but a group of four 32-bit values that are stored in one 128-bit register.[2][3] This scheme is similar to the SSEx extensions by Intel." Anyway........I like turtles

Actually, the PS2 is 64-bit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_2

When I saw the title, I was hoping you'd get access to an early beta for Last Guardian. :*(

Rumor: 'Multiple sources' claim new Nintendo console reveal at or before E3 [update]

Apr 14th 2011 4:11PM (Joystiq)
While new Nintendo consoles always interest me, I personally would rather Nin hold off, if only because this could force Sony and MS to accelerate their new console releases. And, IMO, the PS3 and X360 still have a lot of life left in them. I don't wanna see those great systems put out to pasture as well. I'm happy w/ my consoles. I'd rather the effort go into ground breaking new software.

Trenched is a third-person tower-defense game

Hmm, sounds kinda like the battle sequences in Brutal Legend, which, while I really liked that game overall, were my least favorite part.
