Didn't read that article…Google I have failed thee. Unfortunately (for me) the only times I play shooters online are when my friends are in my online party or in my living room.
My friends not owning PS3s + Killzone 2 lacking split-screen online multiplayer = tough luck for me (good for Halo)
I completely understand choosing beauty over performance; part of the reason why I was so engrossed by the single-player campaign were the visuals…but seeing other games accomplish this just makes me wish it was present in KZ2. The feasibility of it, however, escapes me.
I'll suggest my friends wait for a potential price drop in order to stretch their tax refund :)
While I highly enjoyed the single-player campaign, I can't be the only one wishing for split-screen online multiplayer so I can have non-PS3 owning friends (of which there are many) over for online fragfests à la Halo 3, COD, etc.
I know the visuals are not really scaled down for online play and that creates a complication, but still…
I'd venture to say 15% of it would be sold off to fund various personal projects of mine...the remaining 85% would be split between my pals and me in commemoration of Mr. Block's tenure at Engadget.
