The 360 won't be able to handle FFXII & FF Versus XIII IMO. It's not going to happen, an if did, it wouldn't look has good.
I know the Xbots are going to get angry, but i just can't see the game running on 360. The japanese hate the Xbox. I don't think releasing FF on 360 will change there minds at all. The 360 doesn't appeal to them and it doesn't appeal to me either. There's mostly shooters and FPSs on that console. Which they don't play as much as americans do. But only time will tell, anything can happen. (TGS is almost here.)
Remember the past. Square stopped making games for the SNES, because they felt the hardware wasn't strong enough to do what they wanted to do. So they went to PS1 and later PS2. Now there making games for the PS3. If Square Enix starting making main FF games for the 360, it would almost be like there going backwards, not forwards. An i already know the arguments about the 360 "Well the 360 has more ram, so it can still do what the PS3 can do, blah blah blah" (Im not an expert on console specs, so)
The other argument is, Well Square Enix can't ignore the huge sale numbers of the 360 in the USA. So of course it would be wise for them to make FFXIII available for the 360. But i still don't think its going to happen. Maybe they'll make a FF game for the 360, but it won't be the main game in the series. (Like the Wii, FFCC) See but then that doesn't make any sense, because if they can make a side FF game for the 360, then why not just make a main FF game for the 360?
I don' know, maybe they'll save all the cool looking special effects for the PS3 and give the 360 & the Wii the dumb down stuff. Who knows.
But most of them are all the same. The only thing that makes them different is the name of their graphics engine and there title.
I'm sorry, but FPSs have been a borefest over the last couple of years IMO. There's just too many of them and none of them have any real originality. How many bald headed marines do we need?
People say their tired of fetch this and fetch that in Metroid. They say they want more action and less exploration. But Metroid is based on exploration and discovering things. Just not just action, action, action all the time. I guess people still forget that Metroid started out as an adventure game, not a FPS.
IMO, Most of the people who complain about there not being enough action in the game, are the people who probably play more FPSs.(They prefer more action) Why should Metroid change what used in the past, just because its a FPS now. I say leave it alone. That's one of the great things about Metroid, the exploration.(and the music and levels)
Why should it change? Just because gamers today can't sit still long enough, unless they have some form of action going on every 8 seconds.
The other thing is, most people aren't going to buy game, because their going to listen to the reviewers instead of themselves. I stopped basing my purchase on what reviewers said a looooooong time ago.(when i was younger) But most people still do. So if a reviewer says something about the game ripping off Halo 1 or the controls aren't responsive. Everyone is going to say, "it sucks" or "its a gimmick" and not even try the game for themselves.
Regardless of what anyone says, i'm going to buy this game on the first day, just like the other two.
