a few days ago I left my ps3 on for an entire day and I used everyone of it's functions...from blu-ray movie playing, to music, to online downloads and obviously game playing...I was happy to see that after 24hrs it was still performing like a champ...great piece of engineering...now let's just wait for the games to come ;)

hey just a suggestion in the post you say 33% failure rate percentage...you should delete the last "percentage" since it is redundant

not that bad...the first Socom was exactly that same price since it included the ps2's headset...and it was considered a good deal...

I think exactly as Nick..if you already have a headset skip it if you don't then go retail...I would buy the retail version even more if I could use that headset with my cell phone...

I hope the exclusive is Heavy Rain...it looked very impressive and it would be nice to have a great next-gen adventure game. Indigo Prophecy was very entertaining so I have high hopes for whatever it is they are creating. Sony needs more exclusives that really show of the power they've been taunting so much since third parties like EA aren't really even making an effort to exploit the ps3's strengths. Proof of that is the crappy audio support in multiplatform games (more so with EA)...
the PS3 is the most technologically advanced console ever in terms of audio capabilities...it is able to play 7.1 PCM uncompressed audio tracks in real time...and still the best we see from third parties is a Dolby Digital 5.1 track right on par with the 360...Sony needs more exclusive to set an example..drive sales and then everyone else will follow...
