Win more maintenance day loot
Mar 23rd 2010 8:42AM (WoW)GameStop: Used game buyers uninterested in free DLC
Mar 19th 2010 12:19PM (Joystiq)If there are 30 copies of a game on the store shelfs it is normally because the game was not compelling enough for people to keep it or it was a short game or its been out a while. I think DLC and the perks are a great way to sell new game or at least sell new content. I dont deny this is a challenge for devs cause they need to sell new units and i want to support them but it is not owed them.
Datel suing Microsoft over Max Memory card lockout
Nov 23rd 2009 5:12PM (Joystiq)Firm considers class action over Xbox Live bannings
Nov 19th 2009 3:46PM (Joystiq)It also seems they are only banning the systems so people can use these accounts with unmodded systems. This serves two purposes in my opinion. One you have some bait in the achievments earned existing friends and leftover time to bait people back a little bit. And it does protect the unsuspecting person that plugs in at a friends house on a modded system without their knowledge or those that buy used, though stupid as it may be its not their fault if they were to get banned for that reason.
But appearently the new systems DVD drives are not flashable yet so maybe this was just planned this way to get the old stock out of the way. Put out a system that is much harder to compromise. Let the pirates get sloppy and clear them all at once I mean if they banned the day they find out someone is cheating it may prompt a better firmware they cannot detect or takes more time so by holding off they know how to detect it they may be able to stop more pirates. I suspect a little column A and little column B.
Datel 'disappointed' by Xbox 360's unofficial memory unit lockout
Oct 22nd 2009 12:38PM (Joystiq)So though not illegal for someone to make a memory card for the system MS can also choose to make it not work. I think that that is the definision of dbaggery.
Now if ms would offer decent sized memory cards even at inflated prices cause yes 40 bucks for the 2 gig Datel is way inflated I would not have considered 3rd party.

Jun 11th 2009 3:25PM (Joystiq)On another note this argument really is not any different than valves funny how people get feelers hurt when companies do what works best for them. Its lazy when one company does it and the other is not greedy when they do. I love the internet people are so interesting.
