Rock Band DLC: Offspring three pack and six others

Oct 3rd 2008 4:33PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Hooray for Harvey Danger, but it's the wrong song!!! How could they not include Flagpole Sitta?

Take note: Pure demo coming tomorrow

Intertwining the turbo and combo meters, nope, never seen that in the genre ever... SSX anyone?

Still, if this is even half as good as SSX Tricky or SSX 3, i'll buy it at launch

How would you change Amazon's Kindle?

Feb 2nd 2008 10:02AM (Engadget)
Just to comment on a few points brought up before:
- It already has a memory card slot.
- You can already connect it to your computer via USB and manually transfer. So you can grab Project Gutenberg books for free to your hearts content.
- The current "experimental" PDF conversion is already working pretty well. Keep in mind the PDF format is actually not very well suited to e-book reading. It's a 'final pagination' based format more designed around printing, it's not designed for textflow and reflow.
- You already can highlight and annotate, and it also creates a separate file of your highlights and annotations you can search through.

I've had one for a month now, and in terms of what i'd change:
- more grippable space along the sides (shrink the buttons)
- i'd make the keyboard more Treo-sized to gain another inch of screen space.
- More magazine support.

New games this week: Turok edition [Updated]

The demo was "meh"

Dark cave + gruff sidekick + fast moving dark dinosaurs + unfun. The engine seems fine and all, it just seems like nothing new compared to the 100,000 other FPSs that have come out recently.

Circuit City profits boosted by LCD and PDP sales

Sep 20th 2005 10:05AM (Engadget HD)
I skip Circuit City for a handful of reasons. A) Pushy salespeople who usually know less about the products than I do. B) Limited selection of brands and products that seems to be in the non-sweet spot, i.e. they're slightly more upscale than Best Buy and Frys, but at the same time not actually "upscale". If I want dirt cheap I just order from an internet retailer or buy online. If I want real customer service and more upscale products i'll hit a Good Guys or Tweeters. C) Their selection of tiny things designed to get me in the store on a regular basis so I go back when I need to make a bigger electronics purchase is atrocious. D) I can almost always beat their price by doing 2 minutes of internet searching or calling around.
