because the $500 HD-DVD players are stripped down versions... the nicer HD-DVD models are actually $800.

yeah, i don't like supermodels with big logos on the front either.

having a huge logo on the front like that completely ruins it for me.

i actually like the knob. what bothers me is the prominent logo on the front. one thing the iPod got right is having the logo on the back.

i agree with diulei that mac osx is not cheap, given how often they upgrade.

but i'd gladly pay $130 a year for true upgrades, as opposed to windows releasing nothing but security patches in the past five years.

the release is so far away, they had to figure in the cost of inflation. ;)

yeah, i was wondering about the satanic logo as well.

are they launching this fall, or are they launching on 6/6/'06?
