Microsoft Research reveals RearType, puts QWERTY back where it belongs

@shep I was wondering if anyone else noticed that. God, I hope they don't resurrect the Ergodex company. Horrible software support, they didn't update it beyond XP, even though they've been in Vista "beta" test for what, almost 3 years? I want my $150 back..

A week under surveillance: Logitech Alert Video Security System review

Aug 10th 2010 12:30PM (Engadget)
"A system that recorded three hours of swaying trees yet failed to notice the UPS man delivering a package is not something we want to rely on for keeping our place secure."

I should have skipped to the end. That's one heck of a statement for a system that costs this much. Thanks E!

Pour one out: T-Mobile G1 no longer for sale

And I just installed 2.2 on mine...

I'm surprised they've been selling up to now though, with so many other options.

Now maybe I can sell mine for more..

Amazon Kindle just $149.99 on Woot! (update: sold out)

Yeah, it's not that big of a surprise since Amazon purchased woot.com today. Woot sent out an email to all of it's subscribers announcing the purchase. They are going to remain a separately run company under Amazon's name.

I don't suppose they mentioned Froyo also being included in that software patch? Shooting high, I know..

@Axtell Sorry you've had a bad experience. I've had nothing but good service and experience from Sprint. The customer service has been outstanding the few times I've needed it, and the service in my area is similar to Verizon service In Oregon (ie, outstanding.)

T-Mobile literally dropped service when I saw the city limits sign, and my wife's AT&T service drops calls left and right. Her iPhone is great, as long as you don't need to make/receive calls.

@One Love Correct. $450 if you aren't upgrade eligible or starting a new 2 year contract.

I'm curious though, the ads state that it's $450, - $150 with new 2 year activation and -$100 via mail-in rebate. Do we get the mail-in rebate if we aren't starting a new contract or aren't upgrade eligible? I doubt it.

@One Love Unfortunately, you're absolutely right. I've been wanting a Droid, Nexus, or other big-screen droid so I might as well!

I've been set on picking one tomorrow morning for the last month, now I'm having second thoughts. Is it worth the $450 it'll cost me +$10 a month more than my Hero? Ugh..what to do what to do...
