A look at how the PS3 got to be $600

May 28th 2006 5:13AM (Joystiq)
Nice work Grindstone! Correctin' the ol' vocab by making your own ironic mistakes!
"Ethan, if you really had a better vocabulary, you would not of made the simple grammatical error of using "Your" instead of "You're" to start off your tirade"
not 'of' - 'have'

but more importantly, it is the development costs that will determine the outcome of this generation. that's what's going to hamstring the ps3. when sony is left with the big 5 developers (hey! like the music industry) that can afford to develop for the ps3, there will be no creativity left. and hence no games worth playing.

Fan-made Wii art surfaces

I think the thing about the whole attracting non-gamers goal is that most gamers think that this means making these non-gamers somehow more like gamers. no way is that going to happen! the goal nintendo has is to try to make gamers (who, pre-E3 2006, might have wanted a pimped up xbox 360) more like non-gamers, who seriously could not care for that shit. i think wii is the best thing, name and all, to happen to videogames for ages.

What the hell is the point of conducting research to find out something this marketer already knows? (point 3) Why not just give up on science and let marketers find out what is best for everyone?
