Hudson: 'Your feedback has always mattered' in Mass Effect 3, even now

Mar 18th 2012 4:16PM (Joystiq)
Personally I have had 2 hard drives die, transferred game data from original 360 HDD to the Slim HDD and done numerous 'Clear Cache' repairs on dodgy save files. Seriously Bioware how many people do you really think stand a chance of seeing their decisions from ME1 having any effect when they play ME2 and ME3 ?

Microsoft planning public beta of XBL Update

Oct 12th 2011 3:32AM (Joystiq)
WARNING.

Don't do it. I took part in the beta test last year and it bricked my console. Corrupted the dash version and wouldn't let me update. Avoid.

Yeah. These were released a couple of weeks ago. Pull your head out of your urethra Justin.

Silicon Knights' Dyack on Too Human: 'we do plan on finishing the trilogy'

May 3rd 2011 1:10PM (Joystiq)
I didn't like Too Human when I first played it. 300+ hours later I was still saying I didn't like it.

THQ calls Red Faction: Battlegrounds reception a 'disappointment'

Apr 16th 2011 4:34AM (Joystiq)
@ShadowXIII
Fair enough. Be pissed that you were asked to work on a poor concept. Don't be pissed at the majority of people who didn't like it. If a game has average graphics, sound and gameplay but also has a great concept it will be popular. The concept for this game was weak from the start. The first time I even read about Battlegrounds I knew it wouldn't be interesting.

THQ calls Red Faction: Battlegrounds reception a 'disappointment'

Apr 16th 2011 4:27AM (Joystiq)
It's funny to me that when a game gets high scores the developers never disagree. They often print new covers for the game showing off the various mentions of critical aklaim.
No-one ever says "actually I thought our game was more like an 8.5 but people gave us a 10". Peter Molyneux was gracious enough to admit that Lionhead dropped the ball on Fable 3. More Molyneux please.

Halo: Reach stats and upcoming tweaks outlined by Bungie

@worldpattern

Learn to stop firing when your team mate runs in front of you or you'll become pretty unpopular. I'd boot you for that.

I manage to play a lot but never accidentally betray anyone. If I betray you it's because you did something wrong.

Mafia 2 trailer showcases tech behind the game

@Mmmmz

You're kind of missing the point of RPGs. You create the appearance of the character at the beginning of the game and then the personality is forged with every decision you make after that.
Engage the brain then type.

Crackdown 2 jumps to top of UK charts

Jul 12th 2010 5:35PM (Joystiq)
Crackdown 2 is just as good as the first game. Story line was none existant in both but this one has helicopters and wing suits. DLC promises more.

Some reviewers are citing things like the last Cell mission being broken because they can't climb the building and stay within the mission zone. Whereas you can actually climb up there or use a chopper. Wish all game reviewers were gamers.

Rumor: Mass Effect 2 DLC details leaked

Jan 26th 2010 7:20AM (Joystiq)
"Yeah, where are all the pro-payfor-DLC idiots now?

I never had a problem paying for expansions, at least if they were good.

But this DLC B.S that people still defend idiotically, needs to go away. Of course I don't need to buy it and of course I won't buy it. So somehow, they are LOSING business AND creating an antagonized user base, but that's good business. BRILLIANT.

Go back to the expansion pack formula and if it's something small, just give it away for free, include it in the original release, or don't flippin' bother creating it. And at the very least don't release DLC until at least a month after the original release so when can at least imagine we aren't being abused.

We are their employers after all. If we don't pay them, they don't keep their jobs. Consumers are meant to be served not the other way around."

Wake up douche. Have you seen the figures for DLC sales. People seem to like it. Just because you are too tight fisted to add value to your gaming experience doesn't mean everyone else is. I like the thought that i'll still be getting new content down the line. And it's a little naive to think they would do it for free.
