Video of Metal Gear Solid 4 demo is predictably awesome
Jul 24th 2007 11:54AM (Joystiq)I think if it ever goes to 360, it will be with a "Substance" style re-vamp like MGS2 did, which won't be for a while.

Jul 24th 2007 11:49AM (Joystiq)Hirai says more Sixaxis iterations on the way
Jul 20th 2007 5:10PM (Joystiq)I think the shape and arrangement are fine, especially for games that require four fingers for the shoulder buttons. The triggers could use a little hook to them; I find I press them way up by the top so my fingers don't slip. Other than that, I like the way it is now. Rumble will be nice, but I haven't missed it so far.

Jul 18th 2007 12:01AM (Joystiq)About bais: there might be, but it varies between posters. I would say they lean toward the Xbox, as does the crowd. Andrew Yoon being called a fanboy in comments for saying *gasp* ps3 games look really good when they do, for example. Its editorial though, opinion pieces, so it's expected.

Jul 16th 2007 4:57PM (Joystiq)I don't think there's enough room to put the left analog stick in that sort of placement. Seems like the knuckle where your index finger meets your hand would be in the way.
Joystiq impressions: Ratchet & Clank Future (PS3)
Jul 16th 2007 3:18AM (Joystiq)Then again, I'm the kind of person that thinks Halo 1 is currently the best in the series, pending the final Halo 3 evaluation. Less crap, well tuned.
PS3 60GB doesn't represent a price drop, it's a clearance sale
Jul 14th 2007 11:05PM (Joystiq)Right now there is NO WAY TO TELL if the 80GB model with drop in price to where the 60GB is now when the 60GB models are gone. That's all there is to it. Clearance sale or not, the only people that know the ultimate price of the 80GB model are Sony employees.
While the story is accurate, it seems weighted to keeping the $599 price, which I doubt given the sales boost and the cheaper production cost. The headline is made to get people fired up though, which it has.
Sony have "ample supplies" of 60GBs available for the foreseeable future
Jul 13th 2007 5:07PM (Joystiq Playstation)More so, I don't think anyone has gotten screwed here. Remember when 500gb hard drives were like $400? Production costs went down and now you can get them for $120. You needed one (a ps3, hard drive, whatever) right away and paid a little more for the same product. I paid $600 for mine and I've had $600 worth of fun with it and there's still a ton of great games coming.
New Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer tomorrow on the PSN
Jul 10th 2007 11:47PM (Joystiq Playstation)Honestly though, if this had appeared at the Konami lineup I would have wondered about it being exclusive. Appearing at the Sony conference only? Yeah, no multi-platform plans.
Honestly, I don't think there's a market for it on the 360. For every 360 owner that's posted "yay, I might get to play it if this rumor is true" there have been 50 that post "360 FTW Sony is finished". Hardly anyone wants it to play, they just want to say it's not exclusive.
