Iwata Asks about Resident Evil: Revelations, 'forced logic'

@Haunted CoinOp
It's that reason alone that worries me about DEAD SPACE franchise. I hope Visceral "refrains" from explaining everything... instead of, you know, "nanomachine plot filler". *cough*

This is going to be come a sad trend... if it isn't already at that status.

...but... it's not difficult to turn off. x_o
Hell, it would require more bodily action to manually turn off/on the system. Are you that concerned with your calories/motor skills?

Portabliss: Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword (3DS eShop)

Feb 3rd 2012 10:08AM (Joystiq)
I have to agree with many of the earlier comments: This is a *must-download* 3DS game. I felt was a mix of BUSHIDO BLADE, SAMURAI SHODOWN (The protagonist reminds me of a young Genjuro Kibagami...), and now that the article mentions it -- PUNCH OUT! with a katana, haha. The presentation, gameplay, and simple-but-effective story & 3D graphics work perfectly for the handheld.

Definitely worth the price, worthy of a sequel / DLC... with online multiplayer, possibly.

My only nit-picky complaint is the lack of more than one save file. I wanted to let a 3DS-skeptical friend of mine play it, but I was in a rather tough spot trying to beat the monk boss.

You could just get the handheld systems... that's my plan; as I'm equally burned out/tired of this mess.

The PS button powers on the PS3 when using the PS3 Bluetooth Remote. I have one, and it does state that also in the instructions.

I did at first, but that was when I realized it was upon me. Usually when playing action-infused titles (sports, fighting, and even some adventure genre stuff); I was tilting or frantically moving the device... which in turn, caused the display to be difficult to view without readjusting my grasp upon the handheld or movement of the 3D depth slider. Just hold the 3DS steadier and adjust the depth accordingly.

Also, you *can* fix the brightness/contrast setting too, which helped for a couple friends who said they had eye strain shortly after playing.

Agreed. Taking a quick glimpse on 3 different retail electronics websites... and Sony branded equipment easily tacked on a hefty percentage than the median MSRP; even if features were less or equal to the Sony product.
The Apple-branding formula doesn't work for all; hopefully Kaz Hirai notices and amends this.

BTW, is it crazy to expect 3D features or capability on any HDTV over $1000 USD? I ask because I'm bothered and confused by some of the units I spotted that were easily over $1200-1500, but *didn't* have that amenity included.

Well, for those upgrading from an older model to this one, Nintendo did benevolently(for them)put in an option to wirelessly transfer data. So if you're trading it into a "brick and mortar" retail store, I would either save what you can to the SD card or do the transfer as mentioned before the end of purchase.
