I felt shallow at first for reserving it simply on the main character & time-period alone, especially since I have not played any of the earlier titles longer than an hour; but eff it -- this game is worth it.

This game can easily be the most difficult yet realistic baseball simulation out there, or a literal "home run derby" depending on your slider options. There are literally pages-upon-pages of stuff you can edit - such as presentation options(you can literally mute any one of the three commentators)to individual fielding/batting decisions(balks, secondary umpire decisions, auto-base running, et.al.).

On default options, it will be a decent challenge in comparison to 2K's offering.

I have to disagree. I haven't noticed any extensive load times, outside of those for either start-up(gotta love seeing all those "developer loading screens"; even on consoles)or during sports games. It's remarkably faster than the horrendous PSP ones, even when booting from sleep mode or playing background music on another LiveArea.

It's a case-by-case basis on this one. MLB12's load times are pretty short, considering the content.

I agree with the review... the only glaring faults I had were with the PS3 version(I bought the PS3/VITA bundle for $70... A good deal). There were some framerate lag/skip issues with 1080p viewing of the game, but I'm sure that's just a kink to iron out before finalized rosters are released. "The Show Nation" website's board already notified SDS about it anyway.

If you like baseball and you have a PS3/VITA(or both), get it. Plain and simple.

Yeah, no kidding.
They really drove home the point about the Autobots being an under-powered, scrappy militia trying to ursurp the obvious Decepticon power. I spent most of my time on the Autobot scenario due to weak weaponry and tougher boss battles with limited space as a result(EFF YOU TRYPTICON).

I definitely *don't* want their market to fail, and to be blunt -- it would be foolish to wish such a catastrophe. The rivalry brings forth some rather great results and inspires new ideas rather than stagnation. While we do get rehashes & remakes(*ahem*METAL GEAR1 &2, plz?*ahem*), a decent share of new IPs and skillful remastered products are a nice mix for consumers like ourselves to enjoy.
