An all new episode of Alan Wake's Night Springs: 'Doomed Samaritan'

@xreadmore Yeah, seems like you missed the point entirely. Play the game, see the context, understand the references.

They're not supposed to be masterpieces.

Sonic Generations review: Run-time compiler

@(Unverified) I'm a massive Mario fan - but they actually do try to revisit 1-1 in most modern Mario games. Either as a bonus level, a hidden treat, or just an environment nod.

Halo Waypoint adding 'Atlas,' a multiplayer GPS tracker

Oct 17th 2011 10:08AM (Joystiq)
@eat it It's a map that shows (in real time) where your team mates are in any Halo Reach game you happen to be playing on your 360 at the time.

It's being added to the Halo Waypoint app that is already available on Windows Phone 7's, along with a new challenge-your-friends function.

It's not "just a map"

Grand Theft Auto Classics pack on Steam sale

@Special Agent Steve Just wanted to point out - it only lasts as long as Valve keep their servers online.

30 years from now that may not be the case, and all your digital games will be kind of useless. This is coming from a Steam user, a long-time Valve fan - nothing against digital downloads, I buy lots of them. But to say games last forever when bought this way is not true at all.

$30 Mafia 2 re-release includes all DLC, available now

@Chris DPSN AggieCEO XBLThe Aggi I'm going to assume you played the console version of the first game? God awful port. The PC version was fantastic.

If you like a deep story with very believable and well-acted characters, with a gorgeous setting and perfect atmosphere, I definitely reccomend Mafia II

$30 Mafia 2 re-release includes all DLC, available now

@economypear Mafia has never been a sandbox game - the original was the same. It may have an 'open world' where you can drive anywhere you want, but it's about a tightly narrated story with excellent characters and a lot of great atmosphere.

It was never meant to be anything else. The gameplay is fantastic, it is pretty much 100% bug free, it's one of the most polished games this generation. But people hate on it because it has no side missions or silly mini-games.

Completely baffling to me! And yet most of these same haters love Call of Duty because they get to run and shoot over and over again with no other depth to the game.

ilomilo 'Autumn Tale' DLC arrives in time for spring

@matthargett You say that as though you believe the 360 can do none of the above? If that's what you really think, you're sorely mistaken my friend.

EA 'continuing to look into' Sims 3 console-crashing bug

Feb 18th 2011 3:29PM (Joystiq)
@ftank1 That is exactly what they're doing now. It's been like this since November, and they've deleted my posts from the thread of complaints because I was the only one calling them on it.

I've been campaigning against them on Twitter for over a month now - Joystiq and ingamingwetrust are the only people that reported on it.

EA 'continuing to look into' Sims 3 console-crashing bug

@skell Gamers are gamers are gamers. Joystiq posts about sports games all the time - I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole, but I still frequent this site.

EA 'continuing to look into' Sims 3 console-crashing bug

@daniellenz Plenty of bugs like this - and that response is what you get no matter what you ask them. That's why I made the video and I'm trying to get this made public - EA are being extremely arrogant about the situation.

No patch yet, but of course extra paid DLC! Excellent work.
