What? drx is the artist Dragan Espenschied. Here’s his webpage:

These are the same dev kits that were sent to all developer houses that pledged support for Gamecube (the article mentions a thousand were sent out and I’d say that sounds about right). The purpose of the dev kit was to begin work on developing for the controller, not the system itself – you don’t need advanced hardware to nail input.

There will be more dev kits down the road; no one is using this kit as a barometer for what more finalized kits will bring. We’ll see in a few months. ; )
