@ballistic90 - This is an older build of icenhancer, and the guy doesn't have the best settings going (some surfaces are overly shiny), but he does A/B's between vanilla GTA IV and the old version of Icenhancer. IE takes the lighting from cartoony to ultra realistic. When you add in other mods (car mods, building mods, etc) it suddenly looks like the most realistic sandbox game ever made. The only downside is that you need a monster computer to run it properly. It maxes my GTX 580 easily at 1080p.

@ballistic90 - Are you saying it doesn't look better than the previous Ice Enhancer, or that it doesn't look better than GTA IV?

It looks a generation better than GTA IV. It's honestly more stunning in motion than any other realistic (non-stylized) game I've ever played.

@eat it - In my day we had to walk to the game store in the snow, uphill both ways.

I already put seventy plus hours into the PS3 version. I'm not sure I'd be up to put more time into a PC version of the same game, even if it did look amazing. Having said that, if there are mods, or an expansion of some sort, I'd be all over it.

Don't get me wrong; I'd buy it (to support the next game being on PC), but I'm not sure if I'd actually have the time to play it.

At least Spring 2012 is a fairly firm release date. The Last Guardian is still slated for whenever the hell Ueda feels like it.
