Wii Fanboy Giveaway: WarioWare Smooth Moves
Jun 13th 2007 1:53PM (Joystiq Nintendo)VC Monday Madness: More Ninja than you can shake a shuriken at
May 14th 2007 1:47PM (Joystiq Nintendo)What's wrong with Ninja Spirit? I'm being serious, not flaming. It's been a LONG time since I last played it on the TG16 and I remember it being a lot of fun. Has it just not aged well?
For the record, I'll be grabbing Ninja Gaiden as soon as I get home from work. God, that game was so tough, but so much fun. I know my gamer reflexes haven't kept up over the years, I'm sure I'll get owned at it. Oh well.

Joystiq poll: Console purchase plans
Nov 15th 2006 10:53AM (Joystiq)When I picked up my 360, it was because I knew the 360 and PS3 libraries would be almost identical. I made my choice based on the exclusives each system would have. Fable, Halo, and Mass Effect beat out Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest in my book.

Oct 19th 2006 12:09PM (WoW)After that was a brief stint in EQ. I never really liked that game a whole lot. Just didn't click with me.
Next was DAoC. Next to WoW, this was the best mmorpg I have played. I had so much fun with my guild, levelling to 50. Then the realm vs realm where there would literally be hundreds of players on the battlefield. I joined a battle once early on a Friday night. Left an hour later to go out drinking with friends. When I got home that night, the fight was still going!
After DAoC, I was in limbo for a while. Tried SWG, only to see Sony completely screw it all up by allowing everyone to be a Jedi. Tried EQ2, just more of EQ1. Played City of Heroes a bit. Fun, but like the author said, shallow.
And then there was WoW...
Reuters: Wii novelty will cause console death without software
Oct 13th 2006 4:54PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Exactly! If the DS did not exist, I would probably be very worried about the Wii right now. Even as a long time Nintendo gamer, before the DS and PSP were released, I was certain the PSP would end Nintendo's handheld dominance.
Having seen how quickly people picked up on the DS, however, I have no doubt the Wii will be just fine. There will probably be another slow period after the holidays, just as there was with the DS. But a year from now, I'll bet you the Wii is in a pretty good position.
It's on: Friday pre-order chaos
Oct 13th 2006 11:38AM (Joystiq Nintendo)The manager never announced how many preorders he was taking, but did hand out flyers to people for every system he could preorder. Looked like he nearly made it to the end of the line, but I didn't see anyone leave afterwards. The flyer just explained that systems are not gauranteed at launch due to potential manufacturing problems or shipping problems.
I'm now the proud owner of receipts entitling me to:
Wii
extra Wiimote
extra Nunchuck
2 Classic Controllers
Red Steel
Zelda
