Aug 9th 2006 8:33AM (Joystiq)The saving issue my only criticism of the game so far. I had to re-play the beginning of the game 15 minutes in and I'll have to do it again tonight. There are really only like 2 save points and I'm not that worried about saving without having enough time to finish a quest. It's having to do those quests two or three times just so I can get through them AND save.
Oh and it asking for where to save each time is a bit annoying but so far the game is fantastic. Something I kept remembering is that this guy is a photojournalist. Make sure and take pictures of all the stuff that's happening.

Used video game stores screwing the little guy?
Jun 21st 2006 5:37PM (Joystiq)Mike, I'm not saying you shouldn't get any money back. I am saying that people expect a lot more money than what they will actually get. If you buy a car for $20K and try to sell it the next year with no interior except for the drivers seat, would you expect to get $15K for it? It's still a car. It will still drive you wherever you want to go. There is a lot of storage space where there were once seats. But you're not getting anywhere close to $20K for it. Probably not even half but I don't really know anything about cars.
I think Grant hit the nail on the head in that we all value things differently. To you, your used car is worth a lot because you paid a lot for it. It is the only car you have to sell so you want to get as much as you can for it. The dealer has lots of cars so your car isn't worth that much to him. It makes more sense to him to buy your car for cheap and sell it with a markup. You can also put up some ads for your car and probably get a better deal on it but that will take time and haggling. Meanwhile, the dealership is down the street.
You are right that all products have value. What I am saying is that people shouldn't expect everyone to value things in the same way. Think about it this way. Two people are trying to sell you the same product in identical condition. One sells it cheaper than the other. Which do you buy?
