Beat Hazard Ultra now on iOS

Bring it to the 3DS and we'll talk

Ubi's server migration closeouts extend beyond previously announced titles

Feb 8th 2012 3:00PM (Joystiq)
@Ceridith
It's also hurting their console games. I now have a blanket ban on all Ubisoft games. Developed or published. Sure, a few decent developers suffer but I don't care anymore. They chose Ubisoft and their policies. There's always a choice. If you want to be part of something that is destroying the community you have no place to whine.

It's time we push back. It worked against EA, to a degree. Ubisoft is above and beyond the worst company in video games. Largely due to their sheer arrogance and stupidity. Goodness knows that they are NEVER wrong. Just the people that give them money.

Ubi's server migration closeouts extend beyond previously announced titles

Thanks for reminding me not to bother buying Driver: San Fransisco. Sometimes I forget how deep Ubi's filthy hands reach into the cookie jar...

Ubisoft is just scum. I can't wait for the day it comes to consoles. Yeah, it WILL happen, and then you damn apologists can take it where we PC gamers have been all these years.

It's nice that the pirates can still play their games, though. So sweet of Ubisoft to think of them first instead of their paying customers.

Former Bungie president, Alex Seropian, leaves Disney Interactive

Feb 7th 2012 7:03PM (Joystiq)
After the Split/Second fiasco from Disney. (Their handling of it rather than the awesome game itself)

Disney's involvement in game development can die a nice quick death and be buried in the landfill with all the atari 2600 E.T. carts...

Disney is a foul company that seems to eat souls for simple snacks. (That's not even considering what they did to Split/Second)

Skyrim's Creation Kit released with 'surprise' High-Resolution Texture Pack, Portal cameo

@Brett from Atlanta
At the same time $9.99 for morrowind alone is a bit of a tease. They really need to bring it down to $5 for once.

That's the impulse purchase price for me.

Iwata Asks about Resident Evil: Revelations, 'forced logic'

Feb 7th 2012 12:09AM (Joystiq)
Frankly, I've grown tired of Capcom's abhorrent laziness with their RE games.

I mean, at this point who the hell cares about the story? They surely don't and it shows. At least they admit it.

Story-wise. Hell character creation as well. At least they do try to tweak the gameplay and I don't fault them for that.

It would just be fantastic if they would reboot the series. Full Stop. After their latest batch is through, including the movie, they should start over. New staff (for the reboot), new blood. Give the series a proper chance to be better than just a game.

Reboots can go orgasmically well and they can go horrifically wrong. Like farting during certain intimate moments... But, just like that fart, you can act like nothing happened and redeem yourself by going back to business as usual should the reboot fail due to rabid, vapid, fans or more likely, a catatonic Capcom...

Don't call it a remake: Final Fantasy X is a 'remaster,' to be clear

Feb 6th 2012 11:04AM (Joystiq)
Remaster means glorified port.

I'll go back to sleep now.

Naughty Dog considered new Jak & Daxter game, but decided on The Last of Us

Feb 6th 2012 10:45AM (Joystiq)
@jbs1018

I love how people are downvoting you.

HYPOCRITES!

We want new IPs but when we get them, we complain about not having an old one?

Seriously people?

We all know that Jak will be back. Most likely when they need more guaranteed money. What the hell is wrong with a little break before then filled with other attempts at great games? They're not explicitly saying they're not going to do another Jak game.

Would you rather them ruin it and beat it into the ground?

Seriously...

*use linen diapers. At least I got all the letters right...

Don't forget to add an extra to tax Disposable Diapers because they promote teen pregnancy (what teen is going to sue linen diapers?)

Also might want to make bubblegum illegal. My understanding is that bullies only resort to bullying when they're out of it. If they could never have bubblegum to begin with they might be able to learn that it's not worth being a bully about it.

OH! And you DEFINITELY want to add a tax to every toilet ever sold. Kids taking a shit inside is so against every moral fiber in their body. They're supposed to be outside 24/7 and if you shit inside well, that's like taking a shit with everyone who has ever shitted on you.

Including overbearing, idiotic governments...
