The Forerunners may be ancient and possibly extinct, but every action taken in the games follows the path they set. Their mixture of hyper advanced technology and whimsically graceful archetecture beats of a civilization that has ruled for a great amount of time. If a race that old can leave an impact so great that future races' survival hinges upon them, they are by far the last of the Halo characters I would want to dip-taunt. The less about an enemy is known, the more dangerous they are. Forerunners ftw!
