Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters set for March PS2 release

Jan 22nd 2008 3:42AM (Joystiq)
No they don't. They only cater to gamers that have a 360 shoved up their rear. Thoughtless sleep rollover? Right. The euphemisms and bias on this site will kill it in 2008. It is a damn smart move taking it to the PS2 but that is good for Sony and something Microstiq will never admit.

It is a good thing the petitions are now rolling to Stop Sony from giving this website any first looks at anything.

This Wednesday: Just Undertow (but this time it's free)

Wow. You can tell this is a 360 story. A console company screws paying customers over an issue Ray Charles could have seen coming, toss a free game many of us already have, and Microstiq, er....Joystiq doesn't make one snide comment. I am not surprised in the least.

Play PC games on your PS3 with StreamMyGame

The article naturally begins as we have come to expect from Microstiq.com - with a sideswipe at the PS3 even though it is the one showing the most current and future promise. I don't see the 360 having any of these latent capabilities.

While this software isn't earthshaking, it should be realized by those with at least a single brain cell that this is a harbinger and a wakeup call on what that black box can do. More here:

Rumor: Anonymous Microsoft source reveals truth about the Red Ring of Death

Jan 20th 2008 3:48PM (Joystiq)
"...but some of the claims made in this particular article are inflammatory enough to merit higher-than-usual levels of skepticism."

Of course this site is skeptical. Microstiq doesn't want to lend creedence to any bad 360 news no matter how many people have suffered console failures. There is a point where this site needs to renamed to tool.com

Microsoft's John Schappert to deliver GDC keynote

Jan 16th 2008 3:37AM (Joystiq)
Wait, I thought they were going to open things up from launch. Remember how they told us we would be able to make our own Tshirts and sell them on Live's virtual store?

Open the 360 up? Look, no one is playing with XNA now. So they are going to announce (not allow, just announce) that the games no one makes will be available on Live. Whoopty frickin doo!

Don't even trip, Financial Times -- Paramount is sticking with HD-DVD

Jan 14th 2008 5:05AM (Joystiq)
It ticks me just because it is poor reporting. I am hoping that Sony will ban this site just like their Sports division told EGM to take a hike. The bias here is palpable. You can shovel it out the door like manure. I would hate to think the editors are oblivious because what does that say about thie perceptive abilities? You can't get a Sony article on here that has positive news that doesn't also arrive with a heaping helping of snideness. Stories that aren't Sony based still manage to be reported in such a way to that sheer innacurracy seems to be engineeered to get at Sony.

The only way this affects the format war is it could have been done now. Instead, this stupidity - who's end is now inevitable will drag out over the summer while HD DVD circles around looking for the right spot to die.

Don't even trip, Financial Times -- Paramount is sticking with HD-DVD

Jan 13th 2008 4:49PM (Joystiq)
No. Joystiq just loves to twist any headline to try and get what they want. Sorry you bunch of 360 fanboys you had better go back and read that headline again. It says Paramount will continue to support HD-DVD. It doesn't say it will continue to support HD DVD EXCLUSIVELY. How about not making crap up next time. Paramount is going dual format for a short while before it changes and gives HD DVD the heave ho.

Do you really think Paramount's investors are going to sit back while sales of HD DVD players drop like dead flies? And how many times do you think the HD DVD group can keep tossing hundreds of millions of dollars at Paramount.

No, the format war is over and HD DVD is dead. It has just forgotten to lie down. Idiot headlines like these keep giving people false hopes.

You may not realize it but you damn well are a genius. That was dead on the money.

Don't worry. Joystiq will ride to the rescue and manage to put a bad spin and snide comments on any piece of positive Sony news. I can't wait until they are eating every smartass remark they ever made.
