I think that was it exactly. I don't think anyone can make epic weapons right now, they all come from raiding/high end pvp. And simply because those same crafting materials are also required to craft the epic gear doesn't mean they should ONLY be used to craft epic gear. However, I wouldn't mind seeing more stuff for engi's in general (where's my damn bombs?).
My level 70 ding was somewhat of a letdown, got it by killing some random Blood Elf in Netherstorm. So I planned 80 a little better.
I dinged 80 from turning in the final quest to Chromie in The Culling of Stratholme. That's right, I hit 80 in the presence of Chromie, 4 guildmates and (a somewhat younger) Prince Arthas. Epic.
I'm a little confused regarding heirloom items. I understand they are first obtained at level 80, and can then be sent to low level characters, and their stats scale according the the level of the character. My question is do they continue to then scale up with each level that character gains? Meaning you could theoretically keep the same item equipped from 1-80 without need to replace it?
My first toon was a NE hunter. Luckily for me a friend rolled a new toon just to help walk me through the first few levels (he has serious alt-itis), so many of my newbie questions were answered quickly by someone I knew, this avoided much embarrassment I'm sure. However, I hadn't even considered the possibility of fall damage and jumped from the top of the tree in the center of the NE starting area, promptly dying. My friend just laughed and explained that "it hurts when you fall you know" then explained how a corpse run worked.
I'm sure there's plenty others, it seems like I discover something new about this game every day.
actually activision said in one statement they had some new input on the guitar's that would "revolutionize" the series. Did anyone else notice the long flat strip on the neck under the buttons? Touch strip for slides perhaps?
First in regards to the "extra cost" of xbox live. Microsoft had the forsight that eventually MMO's would make their way onto their console and so enabled online play for mmo's with only a silver level xbox live account, which is 100% free. Ask anyone who plays FFXI on their 360.
Second, the Xbox 360 DOES support keyboards. And while Funcom won't likely require a keyboard for the 360 version of the game, I'd bet my lunch money they'll support one.
Other than that, I totally agree with the other pro's and con's of each platform.
