Pass the salt

Jan 3rd 2008 8:24PM (ParentDish)
I think you should get your priorities straight, sandyone, if your kid wants to play soccer, let them play soccer, it'll encourage them to be active and do things, also, denying the dreams of a child just because of "family time' just seems plain wrong to me.

Sparkling Vibration Gun Controller makes your 'pew pews' feel like 'pow pows'

The packaging is shit, but that actually looks kinda nice.

Wii Warm Up: Let's chat

Dec 25th 2007 11:51AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Well, let's see, they are both constipated crazy people, who turn super powerful when they try to take a dump. So the one who is better is the one who has eaten the most at the time.

Wii Warm Up: Nowhere to be found

Dec 24th 2007 10:17AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
It's not too bad for me, the Gamestop in my local mall is pretty well stocked, most games and accessories can be purchased. If there is something I can't find, I just walk to target or Best Buy.

Wii Warm Up: A time for sober reflection

Galaxy is a GOTY competitor, but OoT is still better. It is free-roaming and open, realistic (kinda, well, at least it changes from day to night and your weapons break after too much use.),and it's violent. I prefer those games to the 3d Mario games.

Wii Warm Up: Genre hunting

RPGs make the world go round, we need Final Fantasy games, translated old Fire Emblems on the Virtual Console, and some action RPGs like Monster Hunter.

Happy meals for happy report cards

Hell, My parents never reward me for good grades, not that I care much, I usually get As, but they want A+s. So the merit system in some households may be different than others, so if you get 3 As and a reward, your parents may not see that as good, they may want more As, or A+s. (If you haven't noticed, I'm not a parent, I am a child.)

Terrible twos, worse teens?

Dec 9th 2007 9:03PM (ParentDish)
Dealing with a teenager can be easy or it can be hard, depending on how you do it. If you give them a little freedom, more than you would give a preteen, there will be less power struggles and fits. For example, take of TV and computer blocks, let them view more media then what you may consider "age appropriate." Also, if they are above 16 and have a car and leave the house often, don't act suspicious and question them EVERY time.

Would you tell a friend that you hate the baby name she's picked out?

Nov 4th 2007 6:50PM (ParentDish)
I would.(If I was old enough to have friends who are pregnant, I'm only 12). If you give a child an unusual name, you are condemning them, my name is Irit, and it's made my life worse since the day I was born.

Could Nintendo have ruined Mario Kart?

Oct 12th 2007 8:16PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Double dash was awesome, I liked the double-seats feature, probably because I was a horrible driver but a badass thrower, I hope they have the option of double seats in this game.
