Um...I just played and beat Warioware. It's completely in 16:9 progressive widescreen. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Maybe your Wii settings are wrong.

The Wii is a godsend to gaming couples. My wife used to play Uno, fighting games, and the occasional racing game with me on Xbox 360. Maybe once every couple of weeks.

I picked up the Wii, now we play together a couple times a week. It's great.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but couldn't it just be to hook up a second guitar like a daisy chain, extending the reach of your bass guitarist? I personally would prefer that to any kind of pedals. My Xbox 360 is to the right of my TV, so I could see the main guitar hooked up there, me standing on the right, and a second guitarist to my left hooked up through my guitar. Otherwise, I don't know if the second guitar's cord will reach, and it might be dangling in front of the TV if it did.

The largest thing I've lost would be my contact lense. It's bigger than my favorite piece of lint, my lucky BB, and the grain of sand I kept from a trip to Zimbabwe.

I live in the Bay Area and would love to go! If I could get a second pass for my gamer wife, that would be swell too, but I don't want to push my luck.

I would argue with your assertion that Microsoft "needs" a price reduction. As an objective observer and owner of all three consoles, I think it's safe to say that the Xbox 360 is the better console at the moment for prospective new console buyers due to the game library alone. It's selling like hotcakes and its competition (PS3) is in a bit of a rough patch right now.

Next holiday season, when PS3 starts to pick up steam, is when they should and probably will drop their prices. There's no reason to right now.

The controllers use Bluetooth to communicate button pushing and stick movement, but the sensor-bar uses infrared to detect positioning.

But then, who can see their TV anyway when it's in direct sunlight? I think this is going to end up being a non-issue, but we'll see.
