Giving into iPod

Mar 5th 2007 11:58PM (TUAW.com)
Buy an external drive, rip all your cds, and revel in a lifetime of music, however you want to listen to it. And no I'm not a shill for Apple, but that's how it worked for me.

Hoshigami coming to DS

Mar 4th 2007 6:05PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
By the way, it's posts like this that make your use of the 1st person plural (or is it "the royal 'we'"?) ridiculous. What's wrong with 'I'? Or does every author here share the same opinions?

The death of the game mascot

Don't forget Gex! I dug those games.

Super Paper Mario coming to Wii this April

oh man, I wanted this for the Cube. Damn you Nintendo! Soon there will be too many compelling games for me to keep putting off a Wii purchase.

Is your touch-screen yellow?

I can't really tell. Maybe the thin film of grease from constant use on my Enamel Navy's touchscreen is acting as both stylus lubricant and screen protector.

December NPD: hardware sales push industry to new heights

My sister gave me Gamecube TP for Christmas but I have yet to crack it open. I'm too busy at the moment to commit the hours necessary. It's killing me though. Playing a little Paper Mario when I can, but otherwise a lot of DS... as far as Wii and TP:Wiimote goes, I played it at the Nintendo store, liked the widescreen, controls were okay but I'm just not an early adopter. Metroid, Mario, Smash Bros.-- the Wii exclusives are going to be the games that get me, not a GameCube Zelda.

Oops! Sony declares SIXAXIS Emmy, Emmys say "uh-uh"

I think the problem with Sony's attitude is that they assume it just doesn't matter if they lie in order to create their own version of reality re:PS3. And what pisses me off most is that they're probably right. Those of us who care probably don't make up a significant enough market share to matter, even though we should matter to them as gamers, "educated consumers" or whatever. And two years from now, when PS3 game dev comes into its own... who knows? I'm not an early adopter, myself, but by the time I decide to buy a new console, the PS3 may have turned Sony's image around through brute force— sans rumble.

Mac game releases slow in 2006

And lots of spelling errors. I blame that fully on the Child's Play Funde Razor at Barcade, from which I just returned. Lots of gamers and Guitar Hero. I played Ms. Pacman, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Outrun, Gauntlet, Punch-Out, Qbert, Track&Field-- shit, I don't know, Arkanoid, Tetris, 1942, etc. That place is excellent. If you're ever in NYC, go drink some beers and play a bunch of classics.

Mac game releases slow in 2006

Yup, my old G4 Powerbook died over the summer and I bought the 1st gen of black Core Duo MacBook. I'ts pretty badass but the integrated graphics processing just makes it unsuitable for gaming.

But I have a DS, and just picked up Gunpey. It is excellent. And it's going to be a Castlvania Christmas.

Video tutorial explains taking games from the PC to the DS

Will Supercard Lite software run on a mac through OSX or do I have to get parallels windows just to put homebrew on my ds?
