So, are you gonna get an iPhone 3G? {Engadget}

Jun 9th 2008 7:59PM I will definitely be getting one. I've been waiting on a new phone for a while now. I didn't jump on the iPhone when it launched first because of the 3G issue and then the impending launch of Android. Android is still around the corner, but at $199 an 8gig iPhone is pretty hard to pass up, and since I'm still using a 1st gen nano and a Motorolla RAZR I think an upgrade is long overdue on both fronts. Both my girlfriend and myself have service contracts ending in July, so the AT&T restriction doesn't really bother me all that much.

How is it not HSDPA ready? On Apple's wesite under tech specs>cellular & wireless it clearly lists HSDPA

8.9-inch MSI Wind shows up at Computex {Engadget}

Jun 3rd 2008 3:23PM Umm... I'm pretty that making it cheaper is exactly the point.

8.9-inch MSI Wind shows up at Computex {Engadget}

Jun 3rd 2008 3:22PM Wow, with the Linux based U100 coming in at $400, this one has to be going for at least $350 if not $300. Talk about a deal.

SUNRGI, University of Tel Aviv boast of solar power advances {Engadget}

May 1st 2008 3:55PM If I had a nickel for every time I read an article about someone creating a breakthrough solar panel in a lab that will be available "sometime in the near future" I would be a very rich man. Wake me up when they actually have something on the market. Otherwise, nothing to see here, move along.

MSI unleashes drool-worthy press shots of the Wind {Engadget}

Apr 25th 2008 5:36PM I was wondering the same thing.

Samsung resignations spark rioting, photo burning {Engadget}

Apr 23rd 2008 3:55PM Of course, some of this probably has to do with the fact that Samsung comprises about 20% of the value of the Korean stock market.

Fujitsu's F-A50 all-in-one escapes a terrible, terrible heritage {Engadget}

Apr 22nd 2008 12:46PM Reading this article I was actually feeling pretty positive about the design. Sure the specs aren't anything great, but not everyone needs a 20" screen and a dedicated GPU in their PC.

Then I got to the price...

Seriously, what are they thinking here? $1300 for this is outrageous.

HP 2133 Mini-Note getting XP install option in mid-May {Engadget}

Apr 16th 2008 4:52PM I'm not sure I agree with your first statement about the impact that Dell is going to have (seriously when was the last time Dell released anything that could remotely be considered revolutionary?). But the second part I totally agree with. There's a lot of activity going on in this space right now, and in about 6 months or so early adopters are really going to start feeling burned. In particular, I'm holding out on any of these systems until the Atom processors hit.

The winners of the 2007 Engadget Awards! {Engadget}

Apr 14th 2008 4:36PM No shit. I'm all for the iPhone winning some of its categories as it's well deserved, but there is no way that the iMac, which was essentially an already existing machine with a new skin on it, was desktop of the year. The HP Blackbird should have won that category hands down, no questions about it. Instead though we get a bunch of fanboys and Engadget bloggers basically regurgitating Apple's marketing message.
