PAX 07 hands-on: Wii Table Tennis controls are insane

Aug 25th 2007 2:37AM (Joystiq)
Also all they had to do for different spins is to just have the player hold a certain button on the wiimote for that spin/hit style and then swing the wiimote to register it. And the wiimote can sense whether its a hard or soft motion as well. The movement could've been assigned to the nunchuck's analog. Its not that hard -_-

PAX 07 hands-on: Wii Table Tennis controls are insane

I really didnt see any lag in response time when I moved the crosshair on RE4 wii edition. Maybe you didnt have the sensitivity turned up enough or had low batteries or something? Either way I even on the hard difficulty (professional?) I didnt notice and lag when moving the wiimote for the crosshair. Registering a knife attack is a different story. Still Rockstar should've just gone with the Wii sports style controls, and gave it at least"High end Xbox 1" quality graphics. Hell everyone knows the Wii is much more capable than high end PS2. Especially since the Gamecube was much stronger than the PS2...and the Wii seems to be based off cube tech.

Big Daddy's final look for BioShock limited edition

Jul 24th 2007 2:18PM (Joystiq)
You are lying. The only "high place" he would have to be in is either a 2k games employee or a member of the gaming press. Other than that, its a no go. Besides they dont let people who are friend of people play Bioshock anyway. Its kept as secretive as Halo 3 campaign mode, Killzone 2, and MGS4.

Joystiq impressions: Soul Calibur Legends (Wii)

Jul 18th 2007 7:07PM (Joystiq)
So if the game looks and plays so bad, how come IGN and gamespot think its great? From IGN.com - "When you get the controls down the game is indeed quite fun. There are plenty of enemies to attack, and plenty of moves to perform. The boss battle of a sarcophagus opening and closing seemed a little too randomly defeated, but the rest of the game had a lot of strategy in its action."

"The easiest thing to see is, obviously, the visuals, and Soulcalibur Legends is at least keeping up with the series' legacy of absolutely gorgeous graphics running at a smooth framerate. The Wii game did tend to jostle between 60 and 30 on occasion but mostly held onto its silky 60 frames per second rate, all the while showing off its beauty in progressive scan and wide-screen. Textures looked very detailed with nice lighting effects going on while weapons clashed on-screen, and character models animated with the same quick motion and fluidity of the Soulcalibur fighting games."

-End IGN.com quote

And NO reviewers have complained about Mario Galaxy's controls, as a matter of fact they love playing the game and think it looks amazing as well. Dont just pull information outta nowhere.
