Umm, yeah. Ive sat in on plenty of Gamestop conference calls. The sad thing is that they know about things far after the actual gamers know. It was probably an overzealous Store Manager reporting on something a customer told him. Trust me, it happens all the time.

Because this way youll still be able to get an upgrade discount on your next phone purchase, and you wouldnt if you got the upgrade at time of signup

Actually, this is just a drawing thats on the back of the Nintendo Wii system stacker made by Mad Catz. The one for PS3 has a drawing of an ugly ps3 controller with the mad catz logo on it.

Im not saying that theyre not making a controller for it, but that picture is from the Wii system stacker box

Well, its not theyre just not selling, its that theyre not selling quickly. $600 is alot to drop on a system, and at my store we have people who are looking for the 20Gb, and only that version because thats all they can afford.

I think a price drop of $100 on each version would be alleviate this problem, because the low tier version is comarable to the high tier of the 360, and at matching price points, the PS3 has the edge hardware-wise, and is much easier to sell.

With a price drop and the holiday '07 lineup, Sony would be in a great position to take the lead in the console war.

Well, we're not hording PS3s for the weekend, we sold our shipment this week, as soon as we got them in. We are, however, saving our Wiis and Pink DS Lites for tomorrow. So, anyone wanting those need to show up long before we open and get in line. My store has 12 Wii units but larger cities have more than 30 stocked up

My EB Games got a few in, we didn't sell a single one. We have stands and booklets describing it, but most people's response is "Oh, it's like an iPod?" And, well, theyre mostly correct.

Im not entirely sure where Microsoft thought they had any more of a chance than any other iPod competitors to make significant market share, but from my POV in retail it doesnt look like its going to happen.
