Aside from the fact that we will be losing a bunch of great titles, my concern about this move is that EA is at risk of becoming short sighted. Without supporting new IP's, I feel that they risk becoming insignificant in the industry over time.
How long can you run a company off of sequels? Doesn't anyone else see this?
It's not Microsoft dork. There are technologies that Netflix could use that can provide HD quality (Silverlight). I am sure it isn't on their top list because of the bandwidth required to support something like that (there is a larger Windows user base than XBOX's).
Chris D. Have you heard of the concept of letting the music play while doing other things around the house? Free music service with access to artists that I typically don't listen to.
This guy's complaints are valid, however to the most part I don't care about these two issues because most books aren't considered usefull to me after the first read anyway.
I'm a developer and I typically purchase between 5 and 10 technical books within a given year. These books are usually pretty bulky so a Kindle would be a nice purchase for me. By the time I would see myself needing to transfer these books to a new Kindle, the majority of them would be obsolete anyway.
In regards to my fictional books, I find myself saving read books just to never read them again. They just waste space at my house.
Granted I understand this guys issues, but they are fairly extreme cases in my opinion. A disclaimer on the publisher and Amazon's behalf would have to nice to know. However I don't think it warrents trashing the kindle all together.
