I agree ^ I thought the wii was a bit of a gimmic until I played one at a friends house, its a heck of a lot of fun (Mario Strikers is a personal fav). Its refreshing to have a console that is affordable at launch and appeals to most people, not just the small hardcore minority who care only about polygons, textures, and 15+ hour gameplay. Its probably the most accessable home console since the nes and i love it :p

Price is not an issue for me, its the 360s reliability that keeps me away. I tend to play for hours on end so theres a high chance I would nuke a 360. Anyway I have just put together a tasty PC rig for Gears, Bioshock and Mass Effect so I wont miss out on anything. On a side note I own both a Wii and PS3, no problems so far.
My advice is if you have the cash then buy a ps3 or a pc for now, until Microsoft update the hardware flaws, otherwise your buying hardware with a 3 year use-buy-date.

Star Trek's not out till November (Blu-Ray release expected in new year), so I guess your not talking about today either, huh!
Starwars has not been anounced yet but you can bet it will be, just to kill HD-DVD off! My point is HD-DVD will never get starwars.
Another one is Indiana Jones, another major movie franchise only on Blu-Ray (include No.4 next year)
I'm not sure if Die Hard 4.0 has been anounced yet but I have a trailer of it from PSN so it must be coming out soon.
Another important exclusive for me is Evil Dead 2, only on BR.

HD-DVD is nackered.

*The porn argument is obsolete now since its free and widely available on the net these days (it was hard to get hold of in the VHS/Beta days).
*The HD-DVD is not out of the box in the 360, its an add-on.
*BR now supports VC-1, Microsoft's video codec. Microsoft no longer needs HD-DVD anymore!
*Target has now chosen BR.
*HD-DVD is dead in the water.
*Your a fool.

You obviously dont own a ps3, becuase if you did you would prefer PS3's sound quality over HD-DVD, that is if you have a decent HDTV. PS3 hooked up to a 1.3 hdmi tv is a real treat - I have since sold my HD-DVD player on ebay.
